Conditions
Please read carefully and retain for future reference.
1. Confirmation. To reserve the property, the client should complete and sign the booking form and return it as soon as possible, together with a deposit of 15%. Upon receipt, we will send you confirmation as formal acceptance of your booking. It is the client’s responsibility to check this form and inform us of any errors. Cheques should be made payable to M.P. Gilbert.
2. Final Payment. The balance of the rental, together with the breakage deposit, must be paid not less than 8 weeks before the start date of the rental period. Reservations made within 8 weeks from the start date of the holiday must be paid in full at the time of booking.
3. Chargeable Expenses. Any chargeable expenses must be settled before the end of the holiday and may require an additional deposit.
4. Breakage Deposit. A security deposit of £250 is required against any damage to the property or its contents. However, the client’s liability is not limited to this amount. The breakage deposit will be refunded or accounted for within 2 weeks from the end of the rental period.

Cancellation.
If you wish to cancel your booking you must telephone us immediately and
confirm this in writing. Cancellation
will take effect upon our receipt of the written confirmation. In the event of cancellation prior to 8
weeks before the holiday commences the deposit will be forfeit by the client;
within 8 weeks of the commencement date, cancellation charges will be the full
rental. However, if we manage to re-let
the period, then a refund, less expenses, may be made at our discretion.
If, for any reason whatsoever, the owners cancel the booking they will inform the clients as soon as possible and return to them any monies paid, but in no circumstances will they be responsible for any other expenses, direct or collateral, nor any inconvenience caused and the client is advised to insure for this eventuality.
6. Insurance Cover. It is the client’s responsibility to take out insurance for both medical and personal cover, which should include cancellation, public liability, money, loss of baggage and car breakdown. The client must accept responsibility for his/her party for any insurable losses.
7. Rental Period. The rental periods are from Saturday to Saturday and will commence at 4pm local time on the first day and terminate at 10am on the last day. If you wish to arrive earlier, please advise us as early as possible and we will do our best to have the property ready before 4pm.
8. Client Responsibility. The client agrees to be considerate, to take care of the property and its contents and to leave it clean and tidy at the end of the rental period. We reserve the right to deduct any additional cleaning charges from the security deposit if the property is left in an unacceptable condition.
9. The swimming pool is unfenced and although fitted with alarms, these cannot be relied upon and the client is fully responsible for the safety of all the people using the pool and in particular to ensure that all children will be properly supervised at all times. The owners can take no responsibility in this regard.
10. In the event of breakdown of any equipment the client is asked to report it quickly to enable the necessary repairs to be effected as soon as possible. We will not be liable for any temporary stoppage in the supply of public services to the property. We will also not be liable for any other problems associated with adverse weather conditions or any matter beyond our control. However, it is in our interest to make you happy and we will do everything possible to ensure your holiday goes smoothly.
11. Unless previously agreed in writing, occupancy will be limited to the number of persons stated on the booking form. No camping is permitted on the property grounds.
12. We are now required by local law to charge a Tourist Tax of 40 centimes per night for each adult over 13 years old. For simplicity we will simply deduct this from your security/breakage deposit before we return it to you.
