Our beautiful old house is perched high on a hillside with views for some 10 miles out over the "Hautes Serres country", the high rolling countryside between the valleys of the Dordogne and the Lot rivers.

The house is truly tranquil and private, set in 2.5 acreas of land, half of it lawn, and completely surrounded by fields. There are no neighbours.

You will enjoy living in an old French farmhouse with beamed ceilings, a log burning stove, and bright and airy rooms. Every single room, including the four bedrooms, have lovely views.

The farmhouse now has all modern facilities, shower rooms, a fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, etc., satelite TV (free to air), and internet access if requested.

The superb 12 metre long swimming pool is in a glorious setting just below the terrace and so has spectacular views. It has wide steps leading down into the water at the shallow end and paved terracing all around it.

There is a very large terrace for dining or sunbathing opening from the sitting room and large areas of lawn where you can sit in the sunshine or shade, enjoy a barbeque or simply sit and watch the sun go down.

The beautiful old town of Bergerac is only 30 kilometres away which has a charming old town centre and a good hypermarket. Bergerac airport has regular frequent flights to many UK destinations and Amsterdam by the low cost airlines Ryanair, FlyBE and Transavia.

The small town of Castillonnes is only 5 kilometres away where you can enjoy the weekly market, buy bread and croissants or just spend time in the cafes or one of the resturants. With a good selection of small shops, bakers, butchers, etc. it provides all the necessities of life.
